Pronunciation

Speaks clearly and their speech is intelligible. 

Commits minor mistakes that do not interfere with the meaning of the utterance. 

Commits multiple major mistakes that makes comprehension difficult. 

Unintelligible speech, unable to understand what is being said.  

Fluency

Fluid speech with mistakes being so minor or non-existent. 

Stutters and interjections are used without necessarily coming to a complete halt. 

Has to completely stop to recollect his thoughts and continue. 

Has to stop and use aids or help frequently to try and read a text. 

Content

Understood most of the message and the main idea of the text. 

Understood the main idea of the text and some minor details. 

Only understood the main idea of the text. 

Seems to lack the intellectual capabilities to understand the simple texts.

Spelling and Handwriting

Spells most words correctly and handwriting is intelligible. 

Minor mistakes are made in regards to spelling and handwriting may need improvement. 

Misspells a lot of words and handwriting is unintelligible. 

Vocabulary

Correct Usage of previously seen lexical items. 

Some use of newly seen lexical terms and repeats common / basic words occasionally.  

Minimal use of newly seen lexical terms and repeats basic and common terms on often. 

Grammar

Correctly utilizes the newly seen grammar and demonstrates a solid grasp on these new concepts. 

Can identify grammar mistakes previously made and correct them.  

Incorrect use of words all around and unable to understand the message they wrote.

They cooperate willingly with their peers to turn in the task. 

Takes a while to cooperate with others, does so unwillingly and must be pushed to do so. 

Uncooperative and does not respond to external motivation used to get them to work with others. 

Listening

Understands spoken language and context

Can barely understand spoken language

Participation and effort 

Actively Participates well with his peers, not only when asked. 

 Gives opinions and useful input either after a while or when directly asked to help. 

 Does not participate with his peers and goes rogue or does not participate at all.
